New specs...

I had my eyes tested last week.
I've noticed that it has been harder to see things up close & to readjust my focus when I am reading then look up at the TV etc. I've been squinting at work & my colleagues have been teasing me about it. The eye test shows I need reading glasses but my eye health is fine.

I went out to the rack & tried to pick some frames that
a) weren't too 'granny' and
b) weren't worth more than my car!

These fit the bill in both ways, I think so, do you?

I'm trying to get used to wearing them.

Erin's favourite meal at the moment is spaghetti bolognaise. Tonight she helped me from the beginning to make the 'bol' & cook the 'spaghetti'

Good job sweet girl.

  1. LOL - I have to wait 8 to 10 days for my glasses - did your optometrist tell you that you eyes have worsen due to your age!! Mine did. It made me feel old.

I was able to get a great deal from Specsavers (2 for the price of 1) and with the private health portion, they didn't cost much at all. I have gone for something different to my usual frames - I will post them in a couple of weeks.

i am looking forward to clearer vision (so I can do more sewing and see my spreadsheets better at work!).

  2. LOVE them!!! They make me almost want to go get my eyes checked (I know I need a new Rx), except that I'm deathly afraid of having anyone or anything anywhere near my eyes.

  3. Good on you Jo. The specs looks fab. We all know how tiny the writing on those ampoules is at work! Best if you can be sure of what they say!

  4. Nice to see you back Atty, again I am reminded of Rachel in Friends not letting anyone go near her eyes...you'd hate the eyeball pressure test!
