I've scanned some of them & begun to preserve them in scrapbooks.
This one of our mother was taken when she was nearly 18. She has written To Mother from Margaret Xmas 1947. Thank goodness she did, it makes narrowing down a date much simpler!

I have been scanning in hundreds of old photos that my mum has been finding (my parents are moving house and going though all their belongs). It has been a wonderful journey finding out about family and sharing them with my own sons.
