Creations...

Spent the day watching Kyle XY season 1 with Cal today & scrapping...a lovely lazy way to spend the day.
I had bought some canvas printer paper to do some amazing photo frames but at 230gms its too thick to go through my Epson printer.
So I printed up these 2 shots for layouts.

This one will go in my album

This one is for Erin's album

I went for a walk this morning before it got too hot. My trusty New Balance runners have walked many steps & don't look real flash anymore but are oh so comfie. I want(not a resolution but more of an intention) to walk each day.
Excuse the pale & stubbly legs!

I wish...

I wish I was back at the beach... today was sunny & warm, perfect beach weather.

But as my sister said to me
'timing is everything'

At least I am still on holidays & in holiday mode for the rest of this week.

This is how I start my day...every morning a pot of green tea in my favourite teapot.

Never too old..

You're never too old to need your Daddy...

This is my photo for today in the Project 365
This is the playground opposite our van sites where the 3 girls were not too old to play in day after day.
On our first day of resting & relaxing we heard loud cries of pain coming from a small girl who had come off the monkey bars. Her little arm was bent & twisted & looked to my nurses eyes as definitely broken. She screamed to her little sister 'Get DADDY' & the younger girl sped off to the other end of the park. Daddy did come very quickly and I was very impressed that he came in the CAR!! She obviously relayed the dire nature of the situation very succinctly. We didn't see either of them in the playground for the rest of the week.
It was just interesting that she wanted Dad when she needed rescue & he scooped her up beautifully!

More holiday snaps...

I took loads of photos & had fun discovering the different functions & effects on the camera, I'll have a tough time deciding which ones to print & which ones will be in layouts.
This image caught my eye.. I liked the simplicity of the wooden steps with the children's sand bucket left at its base.
Port Fairy is a pretty unique place!
The surf was up this day...but a bit wild & woolly!

Albie came along for the holiday & Erin was able to get a little 'dog fix' each day.
Our site backed on to the oval, this was our view out of the rear window/flap.
A Wasgij puzzle is just the thing to keep you occupied when its raining...just tricky enough not to be done too quickly & involving for all ages
If you look closely you can see my brother-in-law being inventive with the toaster in the rain...who knew you needed a folding chair to make toast on holiday???

Funny...

Funny how alcohol can make you think you're a really good dancer... or a good singer!

Just had a very enjoyable evening with friends catching up for the new year & a belated Christmas celebration, ended up with us showing our skills at Singstar ABBA (we think we are really good...the louder we are, the better we sing. I hope the neighbours agree!)
Thanks guys for a great night, I'm sure I'll get my voice back tomorrow.

Looks can be deceiving...

Idyllic...
Peaceful...
Lots of fun..

Yes, Yes, Yes!!!

Warm it was not!

Our few days at the coast have been a really nice break although the weather could have been kinder. My sweet Erin is pretty tough & determined though, she wanted to use her boogie board & get wet so she did a couple of times when the sun tried to shine, it was only about 18 degrees each day with showers interspersed.
Staying in caravan parks makes you appreciate soft toilet paper, warm bathrooms, Aerogard, plumbing & comfy couches but hanging out with family & friends, eating breakfast at 11, doing jigsaws all day while the rain beats on the canvas makes you feel like you've had a holiday!

Some more piccies...

On Christmas morning Erin woke very early anxious to open her presents.
To stall her I asked to go & take some photos with the camera for a bit extra sleep.

This is part of her efforts, pics of the gifts she had received the night before & lots of the wrapped gifts still under the tree!

By the end of the day she had lots of energy left to scoot up & down the drive...

But Cal peaked much earlier & needed a 'Nana nap' even before we got home... too much cheer I think!
We're heading off to the coast tomorrow early, I'm packed & ready & I've made sure the camera battery is charged & ready to go so I can take loads of photos to share, seeya, Jo
(Happy New Year everyone!)

Engrish...

One of my lovely gifts this year was a digital photo frame which I'd had my eye on for ages. I've been really busy today getting ready to go down the beach tomorrow, packing, cleaning, cooking for Chris, & I've just sat down to look at the instructions for my new toy.

I am a bit baffled... this is the introductory text.

Digital frame---Settle a space in a twinkling at your happy time! Need not a computer, need not to hurdle to print, re-appear fascinating appearance at any time!
Welcome to choose the digital frame that produced by our company, please read the Product Usage Manual before using the product in order to enjoy the digital frame as soon as possible.

Deciphering the rest of the instructions is giving me a headache... I am glad though I won't have to hurdle to print any more, that was getting tiring.

Aaaahh...

I sit here at the end of a great day with a cup of tea reflecting on our merry celebration. It started with lots of presents...

Continued at my sisters with lots (&lots) of yummy food & fun...

And then back home tonight for a try out of new things & reading of instructions in many languages.

It's been a really good day, the weather was perfect, sunny 26 degrees, the only draw back was that Chris was not there to share the day.
His 'mystery' present was...

A new all black helmet!
I got a new black bike jacket so we will look really tuff(!!) when we're out rolling along together!
I hope you all had as good a day as we did, I feel like I should roll into bed now after all my over indulgences today, Happy Christmas!

Nearly...

I'm feeling a little anxious, just a little on edge but I think I am READY!

The last present is ticked off the list, I only have to get some cream & bread tomorrow at the supermarket.
I've got the nibbles ready for the work Chrissie lunch & our Christmas Eve party. My plan is in place to cook the pork & trifle after work, wrap a last few gifts & kick into holiday mode with a champagne.
Oh wait... how much champagne have I got on hand???? better get another bottle or two tomorrow!
